PORT ORFORD PICS

As promised, here’s some photos from Port
Orford.

Port Orford is the westernmost point
in the lower 48 states. Can’t get any further
west.

This is an actual port, but they don’t
have docks. They actually have these big winches that lift the boats in and out
of the water and then they “dock” on land. Pretty
cool.

They also do a lot of crab
fishing!

Can you tell that I’m a southern California
boy who hates the cold? Yep.

This
morning we had breakfast at a small diner in Port Orford. They are known for
their pancakes. I said I wanted two and they said, “No, one is enough.” This
is what arrived at my table….

Yeah. But that doesn’t really help
you get perspective. Check this out. This is a normal sized table
spoon…

And yes, that is about a half a stick of
butter you get with it. I was joking that you need to cut it with a pizza
cutter. I did not eat all of it. IT WAS HUGE!!!
Yum.

FInally, here’s one last Port
Orford picture. This is the doll that was in my room in Port Orford. I was
frightened that I’d wake up with it standing above my
head….

EEK!
