Throwing Toasters To Play O.I.T.!

For Immediate Release

Comedian To Play Oregon Institute of Technology,
College Where His Parents Met

Burbank, CA, March 3, 2009 – Grant Baciocco’s comedy music act, Throwing Toasters has played some pretty impressive shows. He’s opened for the legendary “Weird Al” Yankovic and has played a sold out show at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. On his current nationwide college tour, however, the one gig he’s looking forward to is his Thursday, March 12, 2009 show at the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

When asked what’s so important about this gig, Baciocco smiles and says, “Simple. If it weren’t for OIT I wouldn’t be here. My parents met while they were both students here in the early seventies.” Grant Mother, then Christina DeVore, grew up in Klamath Falls. She graduated from Klamath Union High and went on to study at OIT. There she met a young man from San Francisco, Greg Baciocco. “They met at the mailboxes in Residence Halls one day and the rest is history.” Jim DeVore, Grant’s Grandfather still resides in Klamath Falls and so does his Aunt and three of his cousins.

Grant will be brining his comedy music act, Throwing Toasters to O.I.T. at 7:00 PM on March 12, 2009. The show is in the Student Union Auditorium and is open to the public. Non O.I.T. students are $3. The show is free for current students. “I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’ve been pestering my parents on details about their time here and hope to use some of that information in the show.”
