COMEDY FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Local Comedians pitch in to help out local military families
On December 10, local funnymen Tom Riehl and Ron J. Ruhman will be transforming their monthly comedy show at Camino Real Playhouse into a holiday spectacular, aptly named, HoHo's and HaHa's: Ron & Tom's Excellent Christmas Adventure.
The usual admission price of $12 will be cut in half with each toy donation received. Homefront America, a local organization benefiting military families will be on hand collecting the toys. The promotion code if you are bringing a toy is TOYDISC for on line ticket purchases.
What better way to spend a few hours in December than a little stand up comedy and making a donation to a great cause, all at the same time.
In addition to the professional comedians already booked that night including; Bill Word, Mathew Stolz, Throwing Toasters, and our Holiday Hostess Suzette Masters, the show promises many holiday surprises including an appearance by The Big Man himself, Mr. Claus.
"We're hoping this will become an annual event", says Riehl. "It's going to be funny, quirky, off-the-wall, and traditional all at the same time".
There will be two performances on December 10 at 6PM & 8PM. "Since our regular shows always sell out, we anticipate these two selling out rather quickly. We’re helping Military Families and Santa by collecting toys. It’s comedy for a cause and a Claus", adds Ruhman.

However, while they are doing so, you will be entertained by a live musician, Throwing Toasters, and a troupe of improvisers who ALSO will be using your suggestions. The result? A live-on-stage mash-up of prose, poetry, silliness, and songs. Each show features a new lineup of writers, improvisers, and musicians. Come feel the literary thunder!

This was a fantastic show. The crowd was so great and even through there were tech troubles (loop pedal not working, guitar stand falling over) it was just an amazing time. Big thanks to all who were there that night!

Once again was asked to perform at a fundraiser for the Burroughs High School Drama Department. This crowd is, just as it was back in April, awesome! Such a fun time. The Burroughs accompanist, there to play for a few of the students who sang songs during the even, added some piano to a few of my songs as well. Just a great time! I’ll gladly play for this crowd ANYTIME!
